EVENT PRESS RELEASE

The Henricus Foundation Presents Hops in the Park 2026

Chester, VA -October 27th, 2026 — The Henricus Foundation will host its annual fall festival, Hops in the Park, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Henricus Historical Park, 251 Henricus Park Road, Chester, VA 23836. Blending 17th-century Virginia history with the Commonwealth's thriving craft beverage scene, this family-friendly fall festival is free and open to the public.
Set along the scenic bluffs of the James River, the event will feature:
Local Craft Beverages: A wide selection of Virginia craft beers, ciders, meads, and wines. Entertainment & Food: Live music, food trucks, and a local artisan marketplace. Living History: Firsthand 17th-century Virginia history with costumed interpreters. Admission is free; attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Beverage sales are cashless (credit/debit only). Money raised from beverage proceeds benefits the Henricus Foundation, supporting the park and hands-on history programs for regional students. This year’s festival is proudly supported by Southside Petroleum Marketing, the Emerson Family Fund, Cedar Investment Group (CIG), and Dominion Energy.
